Reviews/Notes:

  • “Vivamax opens the year with a highly entertaining and engrossing tale of revenge and lust that kept me hooked from the very start.”” (Read more)
Jayson Laniba, Film Circle Reject (3/5)

  • “The most notable technical merit of this Iar Arondaing film was its cinematography (by DP Emmanuel Rei Liwanag), with the sepia filter, unique camera angles and lighting design, that gave the film a generally rich and warm look. ” (Read more)
    Fred Hawson, Fred Said (2.5/5)

  • “Nicely shot, but looking pretty can only take a film so far. Has a few nice ideas but the acting is mostly subpar.” (Read more)
    John Tawasil, Present Confusion (2/5)

  • “Agawan ng ~~tite~~lupa to the tune of Lyca Gairanod is the energy I need for 2023. Also, ‘Mas masarap ang may pampadulas’ and ‘Baka nakalimutan mo tinuruan mo ko magpaputok,’ best lines in a Pinoy film of 2023. Also, ‘Hay naku! Panganay na naman dehado.’ Chz. #PyudalismoIbagsak
    Jay Rosas, Present Confusion (1.5/5)

  • “Started off like The Beguiled (also with a leg wound), with a lot of fucking, but veers off to more boring territory. The sisters ain’t Kidman or Dunst or Fanning as they try to upstage each other on who can act worse. It’s also much better if we don’t talk about Sangalang’s acting chops nor Estrada’s laughably bad attached facial hair. Bad choice of music too. The only good thing I get from this is that Arondaing lets his players act by not cutting so much.”
    Vinson Gabato (1/5)

  • “Makes you want to ask if a six-month acting workshop could help all the actors in this movie. Monotone anger is a bit of a feat though.”
    Jay-r Trinidad (1/5)
